History
DISCOVERY SCHOOL is a distinguished private, international, non-profit institution in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Established in 1993, the school boasts over 31 years of educational expertise. Currently catering to students from Nursery to 12th grade, it holds accreditations from COGNIA, the Honduran Ministry of Education, and sponsorship from the U.S. Department of State of Overseas Schools.
As a proud member of the Association of Bilingual Schools of Honduras (ABSH), College Board (AP Program), and the Association of American Schools of Central America (AASCA), Discovery School celebrated its inaugural Senior graduation in June 2003.
With an enrollment of 232 students, Discovery School distinguishes itself through a low student-to-teacher ratio, averaging seven students per teacher and 17 or fewer students per class. The school emphasizes hands-on and experiential learning, hosts an international student body from 14+ countries, and fosters multidisciplinary skills development. Discovery School is committed to a zero-tolerance policy for bullying, emphasizing the importance of collaboration, cooperation, constructive disagreement, and respect for diverse opinions.
