International Day: Celebrating Cultures and Connections!

On October 25th, Discovery School celebrated International Day in a unique and engaging way! Students from Nursery to Grade 2 participated in exciting global activities, including Olympic games inspired by Greece, a virtual hot air balloon journey over Turkey, a visit to Egypt’s iconic pyramids, and expeditions through Switzerland and New England. Meanwhile, students in Grades 3 to 12 showcased their creativity and teamwork by crafting colorful sawdust rugs inspired by international cultures, with each rug reflecting extensive research and artistic expression.

This memorable event was organized by our dedicated Discovery Parent Teacher Organization (DPTO), to whom we extend our heartfelt thanks. We were honored to welcome special guests and judges Ms. Carolina Carías, Ms. Ana Lí Betancourt, Ms. Gricelda Varela, and Ms. Andrea Lara, who joined us in celebrating this day. Congratulations to all participants, and to our winners in each age group: Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8, and Grades 9-12, for their outstanding work and enthusiasm!
